First off all 23 of Y&L's so far are as close as possible to inspirations I've ever had. Here and there maybe a note or two's prominence varies (all notes accounted though). I haven't been this blown away by a fragrance since original release of Le Male (i was barely 21yrs old) and then Aventus over a decade later. (Before Le Male green bottle Polo & Cool Water were probably my best owns). Fast forward to 2025 and for first time in a long time, im just in awe of how good it is. I've never smelled the original and at over $1200, I don't want to. This is just amazing. I love Imagination, L'Immensite, & Meteore by LV...never need them again due to the quality of Yom & Layl. I've wanted Boudicea The Victorious Valiant for a long time based on its scent profile and reviews of its scent profile & performance. However the price is a complete turn-off as is LV prices, especially for their total designer counter-top/no wow factor/mass appealing/easy to wear personalities. I like soapy &/or powdery fragrances and this one has the perfect blend of powdery but also mature, sexy, luxurious, & playful all at once. Will definitely buy 100mg bottle of this. So far of getting discovery sets only problem is narrowing down which I want full bottles of? Some i tried just to compare knowing I don't need/want a full bottle of that DNA.
The ones I've always like the DNA and a few I'm new to, it's hard to decide. These are good enough without compromising anything to never need the OGs especially when paying luxury designer/niche price tags. The biggest differences in scent profile is probably more related to oil content of this being 40% while EdT/EdP's are significantly less. Every note profile I've checked against the OG is not only exactly the same but also in same place (top,mid,base).
