The Vow

This is not a blind buy safe style of scent but it is one that I absolutely adore, love, appreciate and otherwise F-with, straight up a very complex, almost artistic piece of work that I am absolutely feeling! I think Y&L may have actually improved on the OG, maybe turned down whatever animalic that I picked up in the OG (it has been quite a while since I have smelled it and I did not buy it then because something didn’t sit right at the time, well that and the price!!) but decided to try the Y&L version, then bought a full bottle shortly thereafter! Here’s how it went for me on my initial spray; Fruity, maybe a semi sweet apple, followed by hits of an elegant rose, then aromatics making it slightly spicy..what is this next note? castoreum or as I like to think of it beaver ass which somehow enhanced the scent…is that a deep resinous wood, is that some kind of creamy vibe? hits of earthy, smoky, and holy crap, this is dense…and amazing!! How the F with a capital F is all that working the way it does to make this so good??? This is powerful stuff straight out of the gate and before it goes through refrigeration and maturation. This is not a designer style fragrance, it definitely falls into that niche realm, and it’s absolutely gorgeous to the right nose. Get yourself a sample in a discovery set if you are at all curious like I was and you may find something special, like I did. Or not, scents are highly polarizing 😂 Another beautiful and well crafted inspiration from Y&L that I’m fully satisfied and happy with! My woman is definitely a fan since she kept trying to corner me in secluded spots while we were out for a date 🤣 Definitely one I will reserve for more special occasions!
