Never smelt the original before but this is a great blind buy. I get a rich opening smell and it lasts all day on clothes and skin. I get this nice vanilla smell in the dry down after couple hours.

Very Good Fragrance

I've never smelled French Defense, but this fragrance smells very good! Smells a little bit like fruit punch, but if there was extra cherries in the mix. Gotta get that full bottle soon!
